A mechanical engineer who also holds an MBA degree, Johannes Musel's experience in the power generation industry spans 27 years and three continents - Africa, the Americas and Europe. He was part of the commissioning team at Eskom's Duvha Power Station for Steinmüller and as project manager for the same company, he was responsible for the execution of steam generator contracts for 3 x 660 MW and 3 x 700 MW for the South African utility's Majuba Power Station. He was appointed Managing Director of Steinmüller do Brasil in 1997 and held executive positions in various subsidiaries of Babcock Borsig Power. He joined Hitachi Power Europe as Director of Projects in 2002 becoming Senior Vice-President for the Steam Generation business unit in 2005. He returned to South Africa as Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi Power Africa in January 2008.

Robin Duff began his career as an attorney with Bell Dewar in 1976. He joined Steinmuller Africa in 1981 where he started out as a legal advisor rising through the ranks until his appointment as a director of the company. He transferred to Babcock Borsig AG, Germany, in 2000 as Vice President following this company's take-over of the Steinmuller Group. During his 27 years in the power generation sector he gained diverse experience working on power projects and subsidiary company business in Europe, Asia and America. After a three-year tenure at Hitachi Power Europe, Robin returned to South Africa in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer of Hitachi Power Africa.
